Miroslav Zíka founded ArtKabinet Zíka in January 2019. The gallery is located in the former spaces of the legendary Pražské starožitnosti (Prague Antiques), which leading jewelry expert Zdeněk Uhlíř established here in 1992. ArtKabinet Zíka continues in its tradition.

Mgr. Miroslav Zíka, a graduate of the Department of Art History at Charles University’s Faculty of Arts, began his career in the department of historical furniture at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, where he helped to organize numerous exhibitions. He later spent seventeen years as an expert in applied art at the leading Dorotheum auction house, where his expert activities included glass, porcelain, ceramics, furniture, and sculpture. During his time at Dorotheum, he helped to organize more than fifty auctions, which he also led as auctioneer. In recent years, he has focused on modern art glass and has organized three successful specialized auctions in this prestigious market segment. He also works as an auctioneer and has co-organized numerous charity auctions (Nadace Via, Cesta domů…).
